LOVE this car seat!, March 22, 2011 = Durability: This review is from: Graco My Ride 65 Convertible Car Seat, Streamer (Baby Product) We bought this car seat for our younger son in February 2010. One year later, it looks and works exactly as well as it did straight out of the box! My son is 22 months and still rear-faces comfortably in this seat; he is 33 lbs and 36 inches tall. The fabric used in this particular color is also very soft and plushy; it feels quite luxurious. I recommend this model of car seat to all of my friends who are looking for an affordable, durable convertible seat!

Acceptable if your child is obese--but not for kids with healthy BMIs, November 30, 2011 This review is from: Graco My Ride 65 Convertible Car Seat, Streamer (Baby Product) Within the past year I purchased a Graco MyRide 65 as an extra seat. I chose the seat based on the high rear-facing weight limit, thinking my (then) 3-yr old son could ride rear-facing for a bit longer, and then assumed he could use the seat for another 2-4 years since the weight limit is 65 lbs.
However, at 4 yrs and 1 month he has outgrown the seat based on height, although he is still 22 lbs under the weight limit (43 inches, 43 lbs). This is very frustrating to me as my child is not abnormally tall or skinny. Other parents of preschoolers who bought the seat (on my recommendation) have the same problem. I feel the seat shell design could've been better, or at least the explanation that kids with healthy BMIs would outgrow the seat years before they reach the height limit is warranted.
I contacted Graco and they offered to send a $40 mail-in rebate toward the purchase of a Nautilus that also should go to 65 lbs in the 5-point harness. But after reading the... Read more
