Excellent!, May 12, 2012 This review is from: Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat (Baby Product) I don't have this exact color model (mine's pink and is no long sold on Amazon) but except for the color everything's the same. If you go to other baby store websites there are a lot of negative reviews. Don't believe them! It's huge, yes, but it's meant to comfortably seat a 5-100 pounder so of course it's big! If you have a small car you might have a problem fitting it in with the proper recline; my Camry requires the seat to be pulled up almost as far as it will go. But this has been a problem with other convertible car seats I've tried. I did have to put pool noodles pyramid style to get the recline correct, but it is still very secure. Once my child is over 22 pounds I'll be able to remove one of those noodles and scoot the front seat back a little bit. Once it's forward facing it won't be a problem at all. I've bought one for friends and I've advised them to still get an infant car seat that goes to 35 pounds, but then use this one for the rest of the time the child... Read more

It is well-built, has a smart design, and is very comfortable for our 21-pound 8-month old. We do need to use pool noodles to reach the appropriate recline level, but that seems to be expected with most car seats (and is probably more of an error on the part of the car manufacturer than the car seat design). We would recommend this car seat.
Buying another!, June 4, 2012 This review is from: Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat (Baby Product) We purchased this carseat for my son 2 years ago when he outgrew his infant carseat. It is large, yes, but it has grown well with him and now that he is front-facing, it is perfect! The seat covers comes on and off easily, which is great because my son gets carsick easily! He loves his carseat so much and so do we! Now that a third baby is on the way, we are purchasing another alpha omega elite for our 16 month old daughter!
